The DH-1, Dualhead gear de-burrer, a fully enclosed machine tool, purpose built for the safe and easy de-burring and chamfering of helical and spur gears to a maximum of 400mm diameter and 500mm in the vertical plane.

With a floor space requirement of 1.3 metres by 2 metres and a 16 Amp 3 phase supply the unit is self contained and fully enclosed for safe grinding operations, with access through an interlocked door. An optional dust extractor can be fitted alongside the machine.

Using industrial 110 volt Die Grinders at 27,000 rpm and custom made diamond coated wheels, the chamfer is self generated by the gear itself, this, in turn adds to the ease and speed of setting up for varying gears. The wheel head is mounted on an adjustable pivot with 75mm of vertical movement, helical adjustment and up to 30 degrees of contact / approach angle. The two heads can both be used for upper or lower grinding, in either direction. The work head speed is adjustable up to 6 revs per min, with 1, 2 and 3 full  revs per cycle and a continuous setting. A single head unit is also available and we can produce variations on the DH-1 to suit your particular requirements.
